Day of the Dead

"Little precious has a natural obsession
For temptation but he just can't see
She gives him loving that his body can't handle
But all he can say is baby it's good to me
One day he goes and takes a glimpse
In the mirror
But he doesn't recognize his own face
His health is fading and he doesn't know why
3 letters took him to his final resting place
Y'all don't hear me"

- Don't go chasing waterfalls, TLC

This, our first proper dress-up Halloween, taught us a number of things:

1. We would really like to look this scary every day.
2. We are going to pursue a career in which we can make cash dressing-up.. Day of the Dead party hosts? buskers? face paint workshops?
3. If we ever join a band, this is what we would like to wear at every performance.
4. Halloween is the perfect time to let your hair down and not give a f&*k what people think of you. Be whom ever you want to be. And act as effing crazy as you can!

It also got us so excited we ended up sitting in our friend Toto's room with a bunch of illustrators and creative folk, drawing tattoo's on each other, and passing around the tube of kunst (fake) blood, and almost forgetting to even go to the actual party....
for some 'slap in the face' action shots....

My favourite part of the costume was our home made head pieces. Consisting of: A Burger King cardboard crown, spray painted silver, with real red and pink roses (brought from the market) poked through the bottom. Simple and epic.
When it comes to roses. Go real. Fake makes me uncomfortable.
p.s I think my new hair colour (tips) will be dirty lilac. Stay tuned.
